Frequently Asked Questions

A Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) is a blank check company formed for the purpose of raising capital through an IPO to acquire or merge with an existing company. AmperCap Acquisition Company was incorporated in the Cayman Islands and listed on Nasdaq to pursue a business combination with a target company in Mexico or the U.S. Hispanic market.
AmperCap trades on Nasdaq under three symbols: APMCU (Units), APMC (Ordinary Shares), and APMCR (Rights). Units consist of one ordinary share and one right entitling the holder to receive 1/10 of one ordinary share upon the completion of a business combination.
AmperCap is focused on identifying an established Mexican or U.S.-based company with ties to the Hispanic demographic, with solid fundamentals and strong growth potential. Target categories include Mexican regional or global leaders, large family companies, mature startups, Hispanic consumer brands, and U.S.-based subsidiaries of LatAm companies.
$10.10 per ordinary share (101% of the IPO price) is held in a trust account. Interest earned on the trust account may only be used to pay taxes; no interest from the trust will be used for working capital.
AmperCap has 21 months from the closing of its IPO to consummate an initial business combination. If no business combination is completed within that timeframe, the Company will redeem 100% of the public shares at a per-share price equal to the aggregate amount in trust.
